Introduction

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Laura (as you might have already gathered). I am a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in English Language (not to be confused with English Literature) and a minor in Editing. I am also a newlywed, a Texan, a bibliophile, a philologist in the original sense (lover of learning and language), a wannabe poet/writer, and an amateur violinist. In other words, I am a nerd and proud of it.

The purpose of this blog is to share my love of literature, poetry, language and other things. My other purpose is to share some of my writings, mainly poetry because I don't have much in the way of stories written down at the moment; they are still brewing in my brain.

Please do not think I am snobbish in anyway. If I were a snob, I wouldn't want to share these things with anyone. I want everyone to gain a certain level of appreciation for the written word.
